Maintenance methods for preventing oxidation of trolley furnace equipment

After the brick furnace is repaired, regular inspections should be carried out during the initial use to check whether the temperature on the furnace surface and the furnace temperature are too high, whether the heating element is overheated and burnt out, and whether the temperature is uneven or white. For three-phase high-temperature electric furnaces and resistance furnaces with a capacity exceeding 100kW, ammeters should be installed in each phase and heating zone. If abnormal furnace temperature and instrument readings are found, they should be analyzed and dealt with in a timely manner.


Cannot be overloaded. The high operating temperature of alloy components refers to the surface temperature allowed by the components in dry air, not the temperature of the heating material or the temperature around the electric heating element. It should be noted that the temperature of the electric heating element itself is 100 ℃ higher than the temperature of the surrounding medium or the temperature being heated.


To avoid removing products from hot spots, especially copper, aluminum, zinc, tin, lead, and other materials that come into contact with the electric heating element, whether it is fine powder, molten liquid, or steam, to prevent the formation of "pits" on the surface of the electric heating element, which can reduce the cross-sectional area and cause overheating and burning.


When measuring the uniformity of furnace temperature, attention should be paid to the positioning and binding method of the temperature measuring contacts, as well as the distance from the heating element.


Regularly (at least monthly) use brushes, brooms, compressed air, vacuum cleaners, etc. to clean the furnace and bricks in the furnace, to prevent impurities such as oxide skin from falling onto the electric heating elements, causing short circuits, and even burning out the bricks. Heat resistant steel components such as bottom plates, crucibles, and furnaces should be lifted and struck to remove their oxide scale after a period of use. If impurities such as iron oxide scale are not treated in time, they will melt and react with refractory bricks, causing the furnace wire to melt.
